Estimating, Sales & Business Fundamentals
Knowing how to install a roof is only part of building a career in the industry.
Students will also learn about estimating material and labor costs, communicating with prospective customers, pursuing roofing projects, understanding project requirements, and preparing for applicable contractor licensing requirements.
Licensing requirements vary by state and jurisdiction. Training through the National Roof Institute of America does not itself constitute a contractor license, and students should verify the requirements applicable where they intend to work.
Safety Comes First
Professional roofing requires an understanding of jobsite safety.
Training includes instruction on safe work practices and the proper setup and use of ladders and scaffolding, along with other considerations associated with working at height.
